About Me

I am a graduating senior Game Design & Development Major at the Rochester Institute of Techonology. I am proficient with both front-end and back-end development for both web and games, but my true passion lies in back-end development for games.

I enjoy a good challenge. It's one of my favorite parts about being a programmer. I love to tackle any programming problem like it's a puzzle or a game, and it allows me to come up with solutions relatively effectively. I'm currently looking for a software engineering job in the game industry.

Projects

  • In February 2020, the game Snoverload was published on Android and iOS. I was the lead developer on this project, contributing almost the entire code base. It is my first published video game and has been worked on since June 2019. It was created with C# and Unity.

  • Worked on two seperate web development projects for New York State during my Co-op in Spring 2018. This covered both the front-end and back-end using C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, JavaScript, Bootstrap.
  • Mandolin Tabs Viewer

Interests

My personal interests include:

  • Game Development. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to make video games. My passion for games led me to choose the Rochester Institute of Technology's Game Design & Development program.
  • Guitar. I started learning to play the guitar in 2019. It started as a way to get a better appreciation for the music I listen to, but quickly turned into a passion. To me, I get a very similar feeling to when I'm programming, treating the music I play like a puzzle I'm trying to solve.
  • Astronomy. Before I chose to study Game Design & Development, I planned to study Astronomy and Astrophysics. In 2014, I joined as a volunteer at the Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island. There, I learned many skills, such as how to teach advanced concepts to those who have very little knowledge about the topic.

Other Things

  • Programming Languages I'm most comfortable with: C#, C/C++, JavaScript
  • Volunteer at Frosty Drew Observatory since 2014
  • Dean's List since Spring 2017
